I edited the hell out of it and read at full speed, and I still ended in 11 minutes and 16 seconds. Maybe I'll redo it and make it a two-parter. Let me see what I can do.

Most of the stories I write for FFF, I bang them out Tuesday morning right before the deadline. This one I spent four days on and I poured blood, sweat, and tears into it. I'd like to think it shows.

DocDochttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16979621370660001312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25184989.post-6566935862930724912010-01-20T20:40:04.949-05:002010-01-20T20:40:04.949-05:00That was a really strong opening sentence. I had several jokes lined up for when Homer & Glaucus arrived in Sodom as well as several funny things for Zeus to say, but they wound up on the cutting room floor.

I'm not certain why Hermes should have a Cockney accent or why Zeus should sound like a Beatnick but it just seemed funnier that way. Zeus was base solely on Donald Sutherland's character Oddball from the WWII movie "Kelly's Heros".

I really struggled with the editing on this one but of the three starter sentences, I felt that "I am not supposed to remember any of this," would provide me with the strongest story. What can I say? I like to write stories about amnesia. I shied away from the breakdancing and the cell phones because I prefer a setting other than modern. It's a quirk I guess.

Thak you all for dropping by. I look forword to reading your entries.

Yours in ink,
DocDochttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16979621370660001312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25184989.post-81228744351822730312010-01-19T11:13:38.301-05:002010-01-19T11:13:38.301-05:00You're rocking the God stuff. You're rocking the God stuff.Ubermilfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08685628102770311287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25184989.post-61861118313210492472010-01-19T09:06:35.029-05:002010-01-19T09:06:35.029-05:00I just knew Homer's take was not objective.
