People I Would Like To Buy A Beer, part 10

Douglas Adams.

This man not only deserves a beer, but a whole pub to drink it in. This man taught me what funny is, and when it comes to my writing, I borrow from Doug more than anyone else. He showed me how to tell my story and still set it up for my next joke. If you have ever read one thing that I have written and chuckled, even just a little bit, thank him. Shakespeare was a wuss compaired to this man. He is the funniest writer ever, bar none, and that is no small feat. There have been a great many funny writers since we started writing things down, but they can't hold his towel, let alone explain how to make it around the universe for less than thirty dollars a day.

He means so much, to so many, that there is nothing I can add that won't sound trite, so let me just say he was one hoopy frood!

  1. I'll be the first to say it: I think we REALLY should have a Pan-Galactic Gargle-Blaster with him and have our brain smashed out by a gold brick wrapped around a slice of lemon.
