It isn't very often that my hometown appears in the news as sleepy rural Ohio doesn't often attract attention, but today is different! We've made headlines when Kile Wygle of Newark, Ohio was arrested for drunken driving ON HIS MOTORIZED BARSTOOL! Mr. Wygle confessed to police afterwords that he had consumed 15 beers and took the barstool for a spin only to have a minor crack-up for which he was arrested.
I don't know what it is about Newark, but we do seem to be devout beer drinkers. Most people climb on a barstool and then have 15 beers. Mr. Wygle does it the other way around.
While I don't know Mr. Wygle personally, I hope that everything turns out for the best for him and that he doesn't get Judge Frost who is our local version of Judge Roy Bean.
Sometimes it's just good to see to ol' home town in the news again.
