Those were the good old days. Nick and Nora, stylish as hell, always dressed to the nines, hanging around the best places ... and pissed as newts. How come I never noticed that before?
Yeah, this was back in the day when drunk people were still funny (e.g. W.C. Fields, Dean Martin, Richard Burton,Peter O'Toole, William Holden, etc.), not as sad, diseased, afflicted people. I think the shift happened in the late seventies.
Good stuff! I have to watch some more AMC or something to get to view the classics!
