What is the difference between your wife, your girlfriend, and your mistress?

Your Girlfriend says, "Aren't you done yet?"
------------------------------------------------------------------
Your mistress says, "You're done already?"
------------------------------------------------------------------
Your wife says, "I think the ceiling needs painting."

  1. HEH! I've always heard th' wife say, "beige! I'll paint the kitchen beige!!"

but it's th' same thing, ain't it??

Then there's the Bill Engvall one of where he and his wife are goin' at it and she's sayin, 'oooh! oooow! Waaah!" and he says, "oh, yeah, you gettin' some NOW, ain'tcha?" and SHE says, "no! You're on my hair! Oww!"

  3. Excellent observations. Maybe you can tell me where I am in a relationship when I get, "You didn't use the guest towel, did you?"

  5. My cousin wrote an interesting essay on how marriage is a form or legalized prostitution. I won't go into details (he's a bit crazy) but the question you pose as the title of this entry made me think of that.

In other news, the title of your blog enabled me to get another NYT crossword answer right this morning! So if you've ever felt your blog has no social or cultural value, you can be assured that it does.

  6. As long as she's not suggesting a new colour every week Doc, you might be doing something right.

  7. Wendyb- Thanks for dropping by and I hope to hear from you again, but for the life of me I can't imagine what brought you here.

CP- I assure you, the cultural value of SZ, tcob is only heightened by the good folks who stop by, not the paltry offerings of it's editor.

Dale- No, not a new colour every week. It's always the same colour and less frequently than a week.
